Our Culture

Our culture is a vital part of our long-term strategic ambitions, and is about how we behave, how we collaborate, how we live our values and ultimately how we deliver superior business results and become the best company we can be. This journey is simultaneously an individual journey, a team journey and a leadership journey. A company’s culture is not a variable which we can pay attention to from time to time. Our culture, together with our values, is essential to help us achieve our strategic ambitions. To be a high-performing, values-driven organisation we must all:

• Actively work towards achieving our common goal;

• Drive and inspire ourselves and each other to deliver the best results;

• Know the roles we play and what we are accountable for;

• Live our shared corporate values in all that we do, and;

• Understand that we are all part of one team, One Sasol.

What you will learn

Our value chain offers diverse career opportunities for talented people with a drive to succeed. Our people have the opportunity to create new possibilities and to meet the world’s needs for energy and chemicals.
Sasol continuously strives to have the right skill sets, talent, and leadership in place in order to drive the delivery of our business strategy through a high-performing and values-driven culture which supports the growth and sustainability of our business. Through our focused, integrated HR strategy we seek to ensure that Sasol remains a dynamic, technology-driven company that attracts talented, high-performing people.

Your Growth

Through our LEAP (Learning, Experiencing, Accelerating, Potential) programme, Sasol is working on developing a solid pipeline of diverse senior leadership talent. The programme is part of our overall leadership development strategy that seeks to build strong business acumen across Sasol’s business units, enhance the development of employee talent, leverage diversity for high performance and deepen participants’ appreciation of the global context.Empowering women is also a strategic priority. In 2012, we launched our women empowerment strategy and Sasol Women’s Network to accelerate the representation and inclusion of women at all levels of our organisation. The strategy provides networking, learning and career growth opportunities for Sasol’s female employees, while the Women’s Network gives Sasol’s female employees an opportunity to be mentored by Sasol leaders over a 12-month period.

Sasol provides very competitive benefits, but the real opportunity is contributing to a company that is really growing and that has some exciting prospects within it. Success happens when effort meets opportunity. Sasol has the opportunity, come put in the effort and you will be rewarded.
